It Looks Ugly and It Works

Aeration is essential to a healthy lawn. We recommend aerating your lawn in both the spring and fall to help break up the soil which naturally compacts as time passes. This allows oxygen and nutrients to find their way into the roots of your grass and promotes better drainage. The plugs of soil that are pulled from the lawn are left on the surface to break down and complete the natural cycle. This brings the good bacteria from the root area to the surface of the lawn which helps to break down thatch and moss. An added benefit is that it naturally discourages weeds, like dandelions, which love compacted soil. Bonus – the resulting improved drainage also discourages moss growth!
